My name is Solomon Ayele Gessesse and I am a multimedia professional born and raised in Portland, Oregon, USA.

I am a first-generation Ethiopian-American.

My experiences lie at the nexus of business and the arts. In 2017 I began my journey as a singer/songwriter, producer, and sound engineer. My passion for the creative process and its numerous inputs would develop me into who I am today. In 2020, as I was pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Finance at Portland State University, I founded Rose City Essence Music, an artist services and music production company.

For the next 4 years I would refine my skills as a producer, managing a total of 3 recording studios since 2019 and servicing over 100 recording clients in the Portland area.

In 2023, I jumped into visual media, building on my passion for photography. In the years since, I have led numerous pre-production efforts for both freelance and commercial video projects in Portland, with on-set experience in catalog shoots, commercials, and indie films. My greatest strengths lie in pairing musical and visual aesthetics. Today, I continue to service a variety of photo and video clients in Portland, Oregon.

In 2024, I partnered with Miliante, an independent record label and production company, based in Portland, with creative partners in New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta. Within Miliante, I have led numerous business development efforts that monetize the group’s vast collection of musical IP; not limited to, digital marketing strategies, cataloging artist and producer song credits, and leading the production of a commercial music library for sync opportunities.

My goal for the future is to lead a successful music media enterprise at the executive level, while sharing my wisdom and creativity in an authentic way.
