My name is Solomon Ayele Gessesse and I am a multimedia professional born and raised in Portland, Oregon, USA.

I am a first-generation Ethiopian-American.

My experiences lie at the nexus of business and the arts. In 2017 I began my journey as a singer/songwriter, producer, and sound engineer. My passion for the creative process and its numerous inputs would develop me into who I am today. In 2020, as I was pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Finance at Portland State University, I founded Rose City Essence Music, which would serve as my indie record and production label. Today RCE Music is an administrative consulting firm, supporting artists in monetizing their music careers.

For the next 4 years I would refine my skills as a producer, managing a total of 3 recording studios since 2019 and servicing over 100 recording clients in the Portland area.

In 2023, I jumped into visual media, building on my passion for photography. In the years since, I have led numerous pre-production efforts for both freelance and commercial video projects in Portland, with on-set experience in catalog shoots, commercials, and indie films. My greatest strengths lie in pairing musical and visual aesthetics. Henceforth, I am very proud of my Music Video Portfolio. Today, I continue to service a variety of photo and video clients, and am the co-operator of Rose Leon Blanc, a local photography studio.

In 2024, I partnered with a production collective by the name of Miliante, where I currently serve as a key shareholder and Executive Business Manager. Miliante is an independent record label and production company, based in Portland, with creative partners in New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta. My responsibilities within Miliante include financial management, visual production planning, music publishing/distribution, and implementing revenue gen strategies, monetizing our vast catalog of musical IP.

My goal for the future is to lead a successful music media enterprise at the executive level, while sharing my wisdom and creativity in an authentic way.

Outside of business, I enjoy cooking, long walks through the city, and movies at home ;P
